Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Forged Destiny Gaming collects through its websites and the Forge Creator Hub, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Effective September 19, 20261. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to forgeddestinygaming.com, hub.forgeddestinygaming.com, and related features operated by Forged Destiny Gaming (“FDG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It does not control the privacy practices of third-party services such as Discord, Heroku, GitHub, or websites linked from creator profiles.
2. Information we collect
Information received from Discord
When you choose “Sign in with Discord,” Discord may provide the Hub with your Discord user ID, username or display name, avatar, and email address. We use Discord OAuth for authentication. We do not receive or store your Discord password. The temporary OAuth access token used to complete sign-in is not stored in the Hub database.
Information you provide
- Profile information such as your biography, time zone, website, and creator-platform links.
- Team memberships, team roles, and messages posted in private team workspaces.
- Events, descriptions, game names, stream links, VOD links, mods, setup notes, collaboration preferences, and RSVP responses.
- Messages, reports, requests, or other information you send directly to FDG.
Technical information
The Hub uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and protect your account. Our hosting and security providers may also process standard technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and error logs to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Authenticate users and maintain Creator Hub accounts.
- Provide profiles, schedules, teams, chat, collaborations, event publishing, and RSVPs.
- Display information you intentionally mark as public.
- Send operational or event reminders when that feature is enabled and you have opted in.
- Moderate the service, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and protect users.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use Discord data to profile users for advertising, employment, housing, insurance, credit, or similar eligibility decisions.
4. Public and private information
Your public creator profile, public events, creator links, and public schedule may be visible without signing in. Unlisted events can be viewed by people who receive the link. Private events, private setup notes, team chat, invite links, and internal team information are limited to authorized users based on their Hub role.
Please do not place passwords, financial information, health information, or other highly sensitive personal information in profiles, events, setup notes, or team messages.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information or Discord API data. We may share or allow processing of information in these limited circumstances:
- With your direction: when you publish a profile or event, join a team, post a team message, or otherwise choose to share information.
- Service providers: providers supporting authentication, hosting, databases, security, and optional email delivery. These can include Discord, Heroku and Heroku Postgres, and Resend if reminder emails are enabled.
- Safety and legal obligations: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, investigate abuse, protect rights and safety, or enforce our Terms.
- Organizational changes: if FDG is reorganized, merged, or transferred, subject to appropriate handling of personal information.
Discord processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
6. Retention
We retain account information while your account is active and retain event, RSVP, team, and message information for as long as it is needed to provide the Hub, maintain team records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. Login sessions are designed to expire after approximately 14 days.
When information is deleted, limited copies may remain temporarily in routine backups, security logs, or records that must be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including protected sessions, access controls, encrypted connections, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and encryption for stored Discord webhook URLs. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their Discord accounts and avoid sharing sensitive information through the Hub.
8. Your choices and requests
You may edit much of your profile and event information from within the Hub. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. We may need to verify that you control the relevant Discord account before completing a request.
Some information may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the rights of other users. Removing information from the Hub does not automatically remove information already shared with Discord or another third party.
9. Cookies
The Creator Hub currently uses an essential session cookie for sign-in, security, and account continuity. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those technologies are used.
10. Age requirements
The Creator Hub is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to use Discord in their country. If we learn that information was collected from someone who was not eligible to use the service, we may remove the account and associated information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Creator Hub changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when material updates are published. Continued use after an update means the new policy applies to future use of the service.
12. Contact and privacy requests
Questions, privacy requests, safety reports, and concerns about the Creator Hub can be sent to contact@forgeddestinygaming.com.
